Our Advanced Food Safety and Hygiene course provides detailed information for all owners, managers and supervisors in food environments. It examines a variety of important areas including, food poisoning, the importance of an HACCP system, contamination, food law and regulations, supervising food handling, pest control, food ethics and personal hygiene.

The Training
On completing the course, learners should understand:
- The importance of food safety
- Food poisoning
- The importance and required knowledge of supervising food handling
- The importance of an HACCP system
- Food law and regulations; keeping policies, records and audits
- The importance of correct food storage and temperatures
- Contamination; physical, chemical, bacterial and allergenic
- Cross contamination
- Food premises and equipment; cleaning and disinfection
- Pest control and waste management
Final Test
Once you have completed the online training, you will be able to take the final test.
- There are 40 questions.
- The pass rate is 80%.
- You can take the test as many times as you need.
Duration
The entire course and test should take approximately 2/3 hours.
This course is certificated on completion. The length of time you take is entirely dependent on how quickly you can study and absorb the information. Remember, it’s important to learn the content and not to rush through the course. Please do take notes during these courses.
Certification
This course is certified by the CPD Certification Service as conforming to the universally accepted Continuous Professional Development Guidelines. On successful completion, you can download and print your certificate from the learner management system.
