Manual Handling

Our Manual Handling Course provides essential information to ensure that childcare professionals are aware of the injuries that these everyday activities could incur and help them practise good posture and moving and handling techniques. Childcare professionals are often required to safely move and handle different loads, like play equipment and furniture, as well as lift children in and out cots, highchairs or pushchairs.

The course will guide employees in assessing risk and managing their own safety and that of those around them, including children in their care, so they are competent in meeting their legal duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Manual Handling Operations Regulation 1992.
