Online Safety

Our Online Safety Course provides essential information written primarily for early years practitioners, however, the information covered may be useful to anyone working with children. The content explores technological terms, research, key definitions, the variety of risks to children, creating an online safety policy, how to raise concerns and points of contact.

We maintain the validity of our courses, including changes to legislation, policies and procedures, by ensuring the training material is up to date.

The Training

On completing this course, learners will understand: 

  • Key definitions in technology 
  • The risks posed by technology 
  • The need for online safety 
  • The actions that can be taken to help prevent issues 
  • The requirement of an online safety policy 
  • Ofsted’s recommendations  

Final Test

Once you have completed the online training, you will be able to take the final test.

  • You will be asked 20 questions.
  • You will require an 80% pass mark.
  • You can take the test as many times as you need.
